I am a certified SSI Mermaid Instructor and underwater performer — I combine movement, art and water into spectacles that take you beyond the everyday. I am based in Poland and teach in the Katowice area, Upper Silesia.
Swimming in a mermaid tail is not just an artistic expression — it is a fully professional approach to a unique swimming style on a single breath. From breathing techniques and mindfulness to spectacular performance in front of an audience.
I hold an SSI (Scuba Schools International) mermaid instructor certificate — one of the largest international certification organisations for water sports, recognised in over 150 countries.

Frequently asked questions
What is mermaiding?
Mermaiding is a discipline combining elements of freediving with underwater performance. It involves swimming in a mermaid tail (and monofin) with body control, breathing techniques, and creating an aesthetic image underwater. It can be a form of recreation or professional water sport.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, swimming ability is required. Before the course, a swimming assessment is conducted that includes swimming and floating on the water surface. Good physical fitness is also necessary.
What is an SSI Mermaid certificate?
SSI (Scuba Schools International) offers two mermaid certification levels: Mermaid (Level I — pool swimming) and Ocean Mermaid (Level II — open water). There is also a Try Mermaid introductory lesson — it does not result in a certificate but lets you discover whether mermaiding is for you. SSI certificates are recognised internationally in over 150 countries.
Where are you based?
I'm based in Poland — I teach in the Katowice area, Upper Silesia. Pool classes take place on weekends, and open water sessions at Deepspot and natural lakes.
